Dr. Irving Biederman, a professor of neuroscience, published an article in American Scientist that may give you an Aha! of recognition. He says that we humans are addicted to learning new ideas. When we grasp a new concept we get a buzz on, caused by the release of a natural opiate stored in our brains for just such occasions. That makes a lot of sense, doesnt it?
